17 years of experience and dedication to the cosmetology industry has provided Jay with master level skills and techniques that help place him and Salon J in a category all it's own.

Jay began his formal cosmetology education at the College of Cosmetology and Hair Design in Frankfort, but believes his true training and respect for cosmetology began as an apprentice where he learned that "doing hair was more than a job it was a trust and when anyone sits in your chair they are putting their trust in your hands, regardless if it a cut, color or conversation, they are putting trust in you."

Missy is the most recent nail technician to join the Salon J staff. After having earned a Masters of Arts degree and Rank I from Union College , she found her true niche in the beauty industry. She is a graduate of the Trend Setters Academy of Beauty Culture in Louisville , Kentucky . Missy is a native of Barbourville , Kentucky and has had a love for nails for many years. Missy and her husband relocated to Frankfort a few years ago. After being a client of Linda Chesnut's at Tips Toes & Tanning in Corbin , Kentucky for close to a decade, she finally realized it was time to take that next step and get the training as a nail technician she had wanted for years!

At Salon J, Missy specializes in Tammy Taylor acrylics. She provides services for the natural nail including relaxing, pampering manicure and pedicures. Other areas of specialty include fiberglass nail wraps, gel enhancements, and custom nail art creations that will really allow you to express your personal style! Crystal is an award winning stylist who got her education from Toni and Guy Cosmetology School in Scottsdale , AZ. Crystal has received continuing education from Vidal Sassoon, Aveda, TiGi, Caribbean Dream Retexturizing, ISO, Redken, and Alterna. She has studied with Jesse Briggs of the Yellow Strawberry in Ft. Lauderdale Fl.and Martin Parsons.

Crystal 's focus is in always expanding her knowledge and education of the industry, to be current and up to date but always being aware of the clients needs. She specializes in Special occasion hair and makeup as well as makeovers,and color and cut.
